As part of our ongoing commitment to providing safe and high quality recreational spaces for the community, several essential maintenance projects are scheduled for our local facilities this June and July.
While we strive to minimise disruptions, these necessary upgrades will require some temporary area restrictions and short-term facility closures. Please review the schedule below to plan your visits accordingly.
Palmwoods Facility Maintenance
The Palmwoods facility will undergo a two-phase improvement project focusing on essential indoor upgrades and structural maintenance.
Bathroom Renovations:
Dates: 29th June – 24th July
Impact: The main bathrooms will be closed for 4 weeks (2 weeks per bathroom), Temporary amenities will be available onsite during this period.
Please follow on-site signage and staff directions regarding these temporary facilities while the work is being completed.
Roofing Works:
Dates: Saturday 25th July, 12:00 PM to Monday 27th July, 12:00 PM
Impact: Full Facility Closure. For the safety of our visitors, members and staff.
Program Impacts:
- Class Cancellations: Monday morning Learn to Swim (LTS) and Aqua classes are cancelled.
- LTS Credits: Affected LTS families will be automatically credited.
- Lane availability bookings are blocked for this period.
However please be advised that LTS classes will proceed as scheduled on the Saturday morning (July 25th)!
Beerwah Facility Maintenance:
The Beerwah facility will experience a brief, targeted closure to improve visibility and safety in specific aquatic areas.
Lighting Improvements:
General Works: We are upgrading some lighting throughout the centre. You will see workers around the facility during the week of July 6th.
Date of Impact: 7th July (All day)
Impact: Program Pool Closure. The only operational impact will be the closure of the program pool on the 7th. Please note that other areas of the Beerwah facility are expected to remain open for normal use.
